Fennville's former Peachbelt Schoolhouse, ca 1867, is home to Dawn Stafford's private art studio and seasonal gallery which showcases her original oil paintings, the clay and bronze figural sculpture of Jill Lareaux, and Elaine Decker's hand crafted gemstone jewelry. A great find for art lovers! The restored schoolhouse is recognized on the State of Michigan's Historical Registry as the oldest existing one room schoolhouse in Allegan County which has not been aesthetically changed, or moved from it's original site. It is complete with a school bell, it's original wood floors, and weathervane. Open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 11-5pm, or by appointment, April-October.
