The Greater Fennville Chamber of Commerce presents the Tuesdays in the Park Concert
Posted: Jun 25, 2012

The Greater Fennville Chamber of Commerce presents Millish, the third band in the Tuesdays in the Park Concert Series July 10, 2012, 7pm at Memorial Park in downtown Fennville (one block north of Main Street). Born of a mutual love for the Irish music tradition, Millish (Gaelic for "honey") celebrates a decade of original composition, improvisation and focused synergy. Though originally conceived as a traditional outfit, the members of Millish elected to permit the music to evolve out of categorization and into a diverse landscape of evocative melodies, driving rhythms and elegant arrangements. Swaying gracefully between genres and incorporating elements from each, the band and their fans have been rewarded handsomely: an award-winning debut album, dozens of festivals under their belt, and three international tours in their cap. Indeed Irish music never sounded so sweet.

Bring a chair, snacks, and a blanket in case it gets chilly as the sun sets!

Opportunities to purchase band merchandise, or tickets to enter a 50/50 drawing are available as well. Proceeds from the drawing go toward the Chamber Scholarship Fund. Tickets are $1 each, or 6 for $5. In case of inclement weather, the concerts will be held at the Fennville District Library.

The Greater Fennville Chamber of Commerce would like to thank the following local businesses for sponsoring the entire concert series: 89 Art Scene, Alexander’s Drug Store, Allegan County Community Federal Credit Union, Allegan County News, Charlie Schreiner Photography, Chemical Bank, City of Fennville Downtown Development Authority, Crane’s Pie Pantry Restaurant, Darpel and Associates, Builders, Dickinson True Value Hardware, Edward Jones/Paul Hix, Fenn Valley Vineyards, Fennville Family Medicine, Fennville Station Dining Coach and Lounge, Fennville/Pearl United Methodist Church, Golden Orchards- LifeHOUSE, Greater Fennville Chamber of Commerce, Hidden Pond B&B, Hospice of Holland, Huntington Bank, J Paule’s Fenn Inn, Joyn-itt, Lakeshore Lodging Inc., Lakeside Electric of Fennville LLC, Maridrew Properties, McKellips Plumbing, Nature’s Market, Pinnacle Foods Group LLC, Roper/Dykstra Landscaping, Salt of the Earth Rustic American Restaurant
