Posted: Aug 6, 2012

Fennville, Michigan, August 5, 2012 — The Fennville Arts Movement will once again be hosting Art Jam on Saturday August 25 in downtown Fennville.  Art Jam, which is a free, all ages event, kicks off at 10am on the corner of M-89 and Maple Street with live music, art and dance.

Art Jam will feature art and craft booths with artists doing demonstrations of their work throughout the day.  ”We have three great bands, two diverse dance groups along with new and returning artists.” states Fennville Arts Movement co-chair, Casey Boeve. An entertainment tent will ensure that Art Jam will go on rain or shine.

Art Jam kicks off at 10am with the Irish folk sounds of Acoustic Vagabondi.  The local dancers from Discovery Dance will be performing "The Tall Tale of Little Red Riding Hood" at 11am.  Grand Rapids BBoy Crew, 61Syx Teknique & spoken word poet Keegan Loye will be bringing their positive hip hop vibes at 11:45.  The Cones, featuring members of The Verve Pipe & Papa Vegas, will be playing hits from the 60s - 90s at 1:30. Closing out Art Jam this year is Funktion, featuring Fennville native, Andrew Schrock.

Art Jam, which is sponsored by the Fennville DDA, will be taking place Saturday, August 25 from 10am – 6pm in downtown Fennville on the corner of M-89 and Maple Street.

The Fennville Arts Movement was formed in the spring of 2010 with a goal that by promoting the arts in Fennville they would be able to aid in the growth of the downtown and make the area a destination spot for locals and visitors alike.  By thinking outside the box they hope to encourage creativity and inspire the community to become involved with the arts.
