Together We Will Make a Difference!

Dear Chamber Member,

The Greater Fennville Chamber of Commerce is excited to offer a fun and supportive way to assist your fellow member, Allegan County United Way, with their annual fundraising campaign and offer something to you in return!

The Allegan County United Way will be kicking off their 2011/12 fundraising campaign in mid-September and we have decided to offer our support.  Allegan County United Way is not only a member of the chamber, but they also serve some of our members and aid in making the Allegan Area the perfect place to live, work and play! So we decided to jump-start the campaign a little with a Chamber Kick-Off Contest!

We have come up with a way in which you can participate in the United Way campaign without too much work on your part.  Enclosed is a t-shirt that we are hoping you will agree to “sell” for $1.00.  You can have the donor put their name on the t-shirt and display them in your place of business.  This campaign will run from Monday, August 22nd to Friday, September 30th.  Your role in all of this is making the t-shirts available to your customers, displaying the t-shirts after they are sold and keeping track of the money.  Mimi and her staff from United Way will drop off the t-shirts to your place of business and pick them up when the campaign is over.

We, the Chamber, will be offering a prize for your participation – the business bringing in the most money will receive an advertising package including; a free Regent Theatre Screen Ad, a free ad in the Allegan County News, a FREE expo booth at our 2nd Annual Fall Business Expo, plugs on our Facebook and Twitter pages, and a spotlight feature in October’s issue of the Chamber News.  All participants will be listed in a press release and in advertising of contest.

Mimi has also enclosed a United Way brochure for this year so that you can see what ACUW is up to and she would be happy to answer any questions you may have about ACUW.

If you are interested in participating please contact Annie ( by August 13th.  We look forward to a fun and easy way to help out a fellow member!  Thank you!
