Renovated building opens to help Fennville community
Posted: Dec 4, 2012

The building at 220 E. Main St. in Fennville has come a long way since its convenience store days. Gone are the leaky roof, abandoned shelves of expired merchandise and the damp, moldy smell of disuse.

In its place are clean white walls, cubicles for area nonprofits and the air of change for the community.

“We keep moving forward,” said Al LaShell, chairman of the city’s downtown development authority, at the ribbon-cutting of the renovated 220 Building on Saturday, Dec. 1. “I’m proud of the progress we’ve been making.”
