July Events at Fennville District Library

Fennville District Library announces the following upcoming events in July. On Thursday, July 11 at 2 p.m., Kathie Spitzley will present a free “Cooking with Herbs” class with taste samples for each dish.  The class is intended for adults.  Teens are welcome.

Bob and Julia Sherwood of Tulip City Gem and Mineral Club will present two programs on rock collecting for youth ages 6 through adult.  Their program on Thursday, July 18 at 10:30 a.m. will focus on digging into fossils, and their program on Thursday, July 25 at 10:30 a.m. will focus on digging rocks in Utah.  Both programs are free and open to the public.

On Tuesday, July 23 at 6:30 p.m., Fennville District Library will host a Teen Anime Party with a drawing for two prizes, a Hetalia t-shirt and a “Castle in the Sky” dvd.  The party is free, cosplay is optional, and all area teens are invited.  Refreshments will be served, and the Hetalia movie “Paint it White”, rated PG  will be shown.
