Schrock Bros Live in Concert May 17

The Fennville High School Class
of 1963 presents West Michigan
favorites The Schrock Bros live
in concert Saturday May 17,
2008 at the Fennville High
School Auditorium.

Focusing on original music combining three part
harmonies with soulful lead vocals and a steady groove,
the Schrock Bros have developed an original folk/rock/
roots music style that is all their own. Brothers Andrew
(bass, vocals), and Jasen (acoustic guitar, vocals), with
their father Mark (guitars, mandolin, fiddle, vocals) are
each distinctive singers and songwriters. Long time
musical associate David ‘Uncle Raff’ Raffenaud expands
the musical palette on keyboards.  Drummer and
percussionist Sean Reisig and sax/ flute man Dan
Giacobassi join the Bros Band for the Fennville show.

Multi-instrumentalist Mark Schrock has performed around
the country since the 1970’s, playing music inspired by
every genre of American music from bluegrass to R&B to
jazz with Cabbage Crik, Iowa Rose, Jive At Five, the
Jimmy Dillon Band, and Madcat & Kane. Sons Jasen and
Andrew have inherited their father’s open musical mind
and passion for musical performance while exploring
their own individual musical endeavors; Andrew with
WMU’s Gold Company program and Kalamazoo bands
Deep Blue Underground and Funktion; Jasen with the
Chicago based Blues Swingers and Naked Mile.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $20 and are on sale now at Alexander’s Drug
Store and Crane’s Pie Pantry in Fennville and
Uncommon Grounds in Saugatuck. Proceeds from this
concert benefit the FHS Class of ‘63 Scholarship Fund.
