| The Fennville Chamber of Commerce will offer it’s third annual scholarship. The amount of the scholarship will be a minimum of $500. To receive the Chamber scholarship, a student must meet the following criteria: 1. Graduating Senior of Fennville High School 2. Accepted at a Michigan University or Junior College with plans on pursuing a career in business or related field (i.e. secretarial, marketing, computer programming) 3. Has met 2 of the following criteria: Listed by importance: a. Son, daughter or other relative of a Chamber Business Owner b. Parent or applicant is employed by a Chamber business c. Volunteered at Fennville community events d. Volunteered at Chamber-sponsored events Amount of Scholarship for 2008:For each $500 raised a scholarship will be given. The board voted quite some time back to give out incriments of $500 only and to give out to additional students for each $500 raised. Any monies earned extra will be carried on the the next year as it increases to another $500. |
